In times of confinement and with mobility reduced to the bare minimum, until October, Portugal Mobi Summit 2020 will take place online and on the pages of Global Media Group’s media outlets that are involved in the project – Diário de Notícias, Dinheiro Vivo, Jornal de Notícias, Motor 24, and TSF - and will organize 4 debate sessions on smart and sustainable mobility, energy transition, digital transition, and urban planning.
The first session features Bernardo Correia, Google Portugal’s country manager, Ferrari Careto, EDP Group’s Digital & IT Officer, Helena Silva, CTO at CEiiA, and Paula Panarra, Microsoft Portugal’s general manager, who will respond to the provoking question: “Is digital the new mobility?”
In record time, large and small companies had to adapt to remote work to solve the challenges brought about by stay-at-home orders. Technologies have entered – in many cases, for the first time – in hundreds of thousands of homes, changing the routine and bringing new ways to work and collaborate. With retail and restaurants closed until mid-May, consumers started ordering online and companies had to reinvent themselves in order to keep selling and communicating with their customers.
Digital became the possible mobility in times of pandemic and, more than that, gave rise to new approaches and other organization models within companies. Did this new mobility come to stay? Is digital the new paradigm as we relaunch the economy? These are some of the questions that will be discussed during the first session of Portugal Mobi Summit, where we’ll connect TSF’s studios in Lisbon to the screens of our guest speakers.
